April Showers Bring May Flowers
Lol, it’s not April … or May.
Aww, Spring Break is coming to an end. I don’t want to start school again, T_T. I guess a lot of stuff happened over Spring Break. I got a haircut; I don’t like it sometimes. Lol, I normally don’t like haircuts at first. They always cut it too short. Also my parents bought me a new camera.
And I got my grades from Winter Quarter.

Chem: B+
Math: A
So, what have I been doing this Spring Break?
Lol, I really didn’t do much. I mostly stayed at home. On Friday, Anna, Brian and I went to watch his school musical. It was called Starmites; it was interesting, entertaining and pretty geeky.

I’ve also been watching some anime.
It’s an anime about a demon butler who serves a 12-year old boy. I like the main characters. They suit each other.

It’s a magical girl anime. I liked Card Captor Sakura, and I guess in some ways it’s similar. Whoosh!
Lamesauce! I don’t want Spring Break to end.

Omg! Shane’s not coming back, T_T. I was looking forward to taking ECS 10 with her. I won’t get to sit next to her at lunch or dinner anymore. And we’re not going to be able to donate blood together. Lol, she wasn’t going to donate blood anymore anyway, but … T_T.

Oh Shit! Oh Shit!
What have I been doing? What am I doing right now?!?!
Yesterday, I finished my ASA final at 2:30pm, and went to the “Big Kid Park” at 3:00pm.
I didn’t study at all that day! And today, I didn’t have any finals and I still haven’t done much productive things. Omg!
I FAIL AT LIFE.
I slept till 11:35am. I went to lunch around 12:05pm and guess what I was doing when I came back?
I was watching Bleach … OMG! I watched it till like 3:45pm and decided to take a nap. I woke up at 5:00pm but decided to lie in bed till 5:40pm.
Oh shoot and I still haven’t done much studying. Wtf … is wrong with me? Lol.
Btw, I still love Big Bang.
Yes! Watch this (I like this version of This Love). G-Dragon is so cute in the PMP commercial. Lol, and Dae Sung is funny. Oh yeah, he’s cute in this performance, too!

This weekend, lol, I took the time to finally learn the names of the members of BIG BANG! Lol, how exciting.
My favorite is Seung Ri. He’s SO CUTE! I love his voice; it’s so soothing. Lol, TOP is cute, too.
And I can’t stop listening to their song, Wonderful, haha …

I’m on Top of the World
Lol, I feel really happy right now. On Friday I had both my Chem and Math midterms.
I didn’t sleep at all.
My night consisted of doing Chem practice problems and watching Professor Toupadakis talk. As enjoyable as it was, I was really tired.
I studied mainly for Chem because my Chem midterm was at 8:00am. I tried to memorize some of the Calculus definitions and theorems but I was scared it was going to mix me up because I might forget the Chem stuff.
But yeah, I felt sort of confident when I took the Chem midterm. It feels so good to actually know what you’re doing on the test and to actually find your calculations in the answer choices! Lol, but yeah a couple of hours later I found out I got an 89/100! Yeah, they grade very quickly and SO much better than last midterm. Oh and the class average was 57, so I’m pretty sure I got an A. Lol, and I got in the top 20 scores!
Okay, for my Math midterm, I wasn’t as confident because I didn’t have all night to study for it. And the midterm was at 4:10pm. I wasted so much time trying to memorize all the definitions! I think I have OCD. I’m an ALL or NOTHING kind of person. So either I memorize it word for word, or I won’t remember it at all. Gosh, there were so many terms, lol, seriously waste of my time, I should have been trying the math problems instead.
And when I was doing my Math midterm, I didn’t know how to do some of the problems. It made me nervous because although on the last midterm, I didn’t remember completely how to do some of the problems, I was able to do SOMETHING, but on this midterm I guessed on some of the problems and even left a problem BLANK.
That’s already 8 points down the drain. Darn differentials … I memorized the equation dy=f’(x)dx, but the problem gave me 2 numbers and told me to approximate. Lol, I had no clue as to what to do! Also 1 of the definitions was to get the differential of a function f at a point x knot. Lol, okay I memorized the definition (sort of) … Let f(x) be a function … dx is an independent variable … dy=f’(x)dx … but I was so confused when they asked for the differential at x knot. What?!?! I don’t recall this in the book, but I wrote down the STUPIDEST thing possible … I put down the definition for a derivative.
WHAT THE HELL?!? Lol, well that’s 4 more points down the drain. Studying for the terms was stupid. Lol, out of the 3 definitions, I only got 1 right. What a serious waste of time. I got 5/12 points for the definitions.
Also on Question 2, they tell you to answer 4 out of 5 parts. Part a asked you to state the chain rule. Omg, lol, I couldn’t remember it. Lol, I was able to prove it but I couldn’t state the formal definition.
Okay, 92, 89, 88, 86, … , 10, 9, 8, 7,7 … the mean was 51.5 and the median was 53.
Therefore, A=80, B=70, C=40, D=30. I already knew that I had 16 points off.
Me: Wow, why did people get such high scores this time?
Seth: No, they’re about the same as last time.
Me: Do you have the average from last time? Well it’s 10 points higher, that’s a big difference.
Seth: Don’t worry, you probably got a 92.
Me: No, I definitely got 16 points off.
A couple of minutes later.
Me: Did he say K through L?
Seth: I think he said K through M.
Me: Oh …
Seth: Um, that’s still you … L … K through M.
Me: … Oh yeah!
(Jenny runs down, finds her test and runs back up!)
Me: Omg!
Seth: You got a 92.
Me: No, what is this?!?!
Seth: That’s an 82.
Me: Omg!
(Seth … FACEPALM!)
1 point more than the last midterm. That’s IMPROVEMENT, and that’s all that matters … lol, according to Professor Milton.

To Stress or Not to Stress
I feel blah … lol, I don’t know. I don’t think I feel either happy or sad. I have my Chem and Math midterms on Friday. I feel like I should be more worried because I haven’t done much studying but yeah …
Haha, this post is really vague, pointless and stupid. I think I’m just procrastinating more. I have to meet with my ASA group tomorrow to go over our presentation in discussion.
[Sigh] I don’t like presentations. I’m not good at public speaking; I know a lot of people aren’t either but it really stresses me out to talk in front of people. I don’t like being put in the spotlight and I don’t like having people stare at me. I don’t mind explaining something to a small group of people but when I have to stand up in front of the class, it really freaks me out.
Two years ago, in Media Academy, my group had to present our commercial, website and research on Republican candidate for the governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger. I memorized my part word for word without a sweat but when I had to say it front of the audience, my mind blanked out and I was struggling to get all the words out. My group members were staring at me (I think some of them were nervous for me) and I couldn’t focus. I really thought I was going to faint at the time.
Gosh, I miss Media Academy! One of my biggest topics to blog about on my Xanga was Media Academy. Haha, never thought I’d say this, but I miss LOGGING AND CAPTURING! I miss my teachers too, especially Ms. Thurston and Mr. Temple. I’ll probably never see them again. They’re too busy anyway.
I thought my life was finally turning around my Senior year of high school. I had something I was good at, something to look forward to. I was getting along with my friends and I got into Davis (my 1st choice). [Sigh] But I’m still as confused as ever! I don’t know what I’m going to do with my life.
I seriously feel that I have all the time in the world to sort things out. Like right now, I should be studying but I feel there’s enough time to blog. Lol, I can’t wait till Spring Break! I’m going to lie in bed and sort out all my thoughts.

Oh yeah, I found out on Monday that my lab partner, Ray, dropped out of Chem. You do what you’ve got to do. I shouldn’t say I feel happy about him dropping, but it does make lab easier for me. It was frustrating for me to work with him, but I admit, he was really helpful with the last lab we did together.
Wahhhh, back to studying for Chem and Math. Most likely, just Chem tonight. I can’t wait till this week ends! But then I still have my ASA presentation to do on Tuesday. Life is sucky and depressing.

The Adventure at 2:30pm
Yesterday, my friends and I went on an adventure! Seth planned to go on this adventure the week after Chinese New Year but the trip was delayed because either too many people went home or the weather wasn’t good.
Everybody but Allison, Dalen and I knew where we were going. And where did we go??! Lol, we went to a park near the University Court. It was fun and exciting. I felt like a kid again. I played on the swings and jungle gym.
My activities recently have been very nostalgic. Beginning last week, I started searching up old music. I listened to Craig David, A*Teens and S Club 7, lol. And then at the beginning of this week, I started watching Princess Returning Pearl, a Chinese drama I watched when I was a kid.
Today, I finished watching the 1st season, but the 2nd season isn’t subbed. Lol, I asked Anna to find it for me, but she’s not going to, 
. I’m not even sure if they sell the drama with the 2nd season subbed. I could watch the drama with Cantonese dub but I prefer the original. Lol, I found the drama on YouTube with Vietnamese dub, funny stuff. Anna gets it, unless she doesn’t, lol.
Speaking of my sister, I’ve confirmed something this weekend.
Like she said, “No one knows you as well as I do.” It makes me really upset when people don’t follow through with the things they say they’re going to do. It brings my hopes up and then I get disappointed when they don’t actually do what they say. Then I say things I don’t mean. People really shouldn’t take most the things I say, seriously.
And on the issue of disappointments, I’ve confirmed another thing. My mom is a pet hater …
Lol, Anna showed me a cute dog over the webcam and told me that our dad had adopted it from the Humane Society for $150. Haha, first thing I asked when I thought it was ours …
Me: Really? Mommy wants it?
Anna: Yeah, she even held it!
I was shocked but then Anna revealed that as soon as our dad brought the puppy home, our mom made him sell the puppy to our cousin. What a surprise! Not really … got my hopes up. My mom really is a pet hater. Any pet we’ve EVER had she has always made us give it away (except the fish, but they don’t really count).

I Suck!
Omg, I only had 1 class today and I didn’t do shit. I spent the whole day watching a drama and reading manga! I didn’t do anything over the weekend either! I brought my Chem textbook and lab notebook and I didn’t read, study or do my post lab.
I realized I have a lot of work to do. I have my Chem and Math midterm on the same day and my ASA presentation a couple of days after.
Darn Jenny, stop procrastinating!
Lol, I’m wasting time by blogging … and now I have to shower.
Oh yeah, I did laundry yesterday and I washed my comforter and my blanket in the same load. Stupid ass idea! When it was done washing, the blankets were soaked and soapy! But I put it in the dryer anyway and guess what? They didn’t dry completely, what a surprise. I didn’t want to waste like $1.25 drying them again, so I took them out and hung them on my closet instead.
Yep, there they are; they’re probably dry by now but I’m too lazy to fold them. I blame Alan for sleeping on them. I had to wash and dry 4 blankets and all my clothes in 3 loads of wash and 3 loads of dry! Gosh, it was hell carrying all that laundry up and down the stairs and across the halls.
This is nonsense, 20 minutes after I said I would shower … yeah, I’m going to go shower for REALZ now! And then study till Bwana decides to go to bed … HOPEFULLY I’ll study.

Did You Know [I Am] Special?
So … Anna and I went home this weekend because our grandpa fell earlier this week. He had a hip surgery on Thursday and now he’s doing well.
He lost a lot of blood during the surgery and needed 2 pints. Anna checked the bag and we found out that his blood type was A+. Finding out my grandpa’s blood type reminded me that BloodSource was suppose to mail me my blood type.
And when we got home, I found out that I’m O+!
According to this paper they mailed home, It is recommended for me to donate:
“Whole blood because [I'm] in great demand! Although nearly 50 percent of the population has type O blood, the percentage of people who can receive [my] blood type far exceeds this number. Individuals who are type O can only receive type O blood. In addition, in an emergency situation, type O can be used for other blood types making [me] the ‘universal’ whole blood donor.”
Haha, I am a natural born
